Sean Strickland’s Fan-Friendly Open Workout Ahead of UFC 293 Title Bout

Sean Strickland Engages Fans with Open Workout Sparring Session Ahead of UFC 293 Title Bout

In an exciting twist at the open workout for UFC 293, middleweight contender Sean Strickland (27-5 MMA, 14-5 UFC) brought the fans closer to the action by inviting a lucky fan onto the stage for a brief sparring session. Strickland is set to challenge reigning middleweight champion Israel Adesanya (24-2 MMA, 13-2 UFC) in the highly anticipated headliner on Saturday night at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney.

The open workout took place at the iconic Sydney Town Hall and witnessed Strickland’s fan-friendly approach to engage with the audience. This isn’t the first time Strickland has involved fans in his training routine. Prior to his previous main event bout against Abus Magomedov, he had a chance encounter with a fan on the street and spontaneously invited him to join him at his gym, Xtreme Couture, in Las Vegas. To everyone’s surprise, the fan took him up on the offer, and Strickland even shared a video of their training session.

With back-to-back victories against Nassourdine Imavov and Abus Magomedov, Strickland secured his shot at the middleweight title after the original No. 1 contender, Dricus Du Plessis, couldn’t make a quick turnaround following his TKO win over Robert Whittaker at UFC 290 in July. The stage is set for an exciting showdown between Strickland and Adesanya in the main event of UFC 293, with fans eagerly awaiting the outcome.
